Matt Brewer is Controller of California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, California. His responsibilities include financial reporting, student financial services, tax matters, and the accounting for the Institute’s investments, fixed assets, gifts, endowments, and auxiliaries. Prior to joining Caltech, Mr. Brewer was a Manager in the higher education practice at PwC, where he led financial and compliance audits at several leading southern California colleges and universities. Mr. Brewer is a Certified Public Accountant and received a B.A. with honors from Pomona College and an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University, where he was elected into the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society.

Mr. Chiang is a former Controller and Treasurer of the State of California (2007-2019) and former IRS tax specialist. Today, he devotes his time as an advisory board member for several organizations in a variety of industries. Mr. Chiang holds a JD from Georgetown University and Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of South Florida.

Mr. Cifuentes has taught at Columbia University, USC, and the University of Chile. He was structured product director at Wachovia and a senior ratings executive with Moody’s. Served 3 years as President of Chilean Sovereign Fund IC (US$25 billion); 4 years as a board member at Caltech. After the subprime financial crisis, he was invited to testify, as expert witness, by the U.S. Senate. He has also been consulted by the U.S. Congress, the U.S. Treasury, and the Connecticut Insurance Commissioner. He holds a Ph.D. in applied mechanics and a M.S. in civil engineering from Caltech.

Ms. Marmorstein, a distinguished member of Latham’s Finance Department, represents clients globally in finance and corporate transactions. As an adjunct professor at UCLA School of Law, she shares her expertise in Complex Finance Transactions, alongside her extensive commercial law practice in Asia. Ms. Marmorstein holds an LLM from the University of Virginia School of Law, a JD from American University Washington College of Law, and a BA from the University of Oklahoma with Distinction and Phi Beta Kappa honors.

Anthony is a Principal at Eagle Point Credit Management on the Defensive Income Strategy Investment Team which invests in Portfolio Debt Securities. He is responsible for all facets of the investment process, including investment analysis, structuring and trading, and is actively involved in the weekly Investment Committee meetings. Anthony has 15 years of industry experience with a focus on credit and capital structure analysis. Prior to joining Eagle Point in 2016, he worked in the Leveraged and Acquisition Finance group at Morgan Stanley, where he structured and executed LBOs, acquisition financings, recapitalizations and refinancings for financial institution and media clients. Anthony holds a BS in Finance and Economics from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.

Mr. Robbins, Chairman & CEO of Clearleaf Finance LLC and Principal at KARobbins LLC, is a 30-year veteran in financial services, specializing in asset management and private debt-equity funding. With extensive experience as a Director on corporate boards and a focus on driving innovations, Robbins has established himself as a proven leader in building successful businesses. He holds an MBA and a BS in Economics and Mathematics from Murray State University.
